In 1950, Alan Turing asked a provocative question: “Can machines think?” He proposed the Imitation Game, now known as the Turing Test, to determine whether a machine could imitate human behavior so well that it would be indistinguishable from a real person.

Last week, that test was passed. AI convincingly deceived blind testers, outperforming real humans in perceived authenticity. Let that sink in: we now live in a world where machines can fake reality better than reality itself.

The Church must lead the conversation about ethics and truth, rooted in God's design. As AI grows in influence, we must model resistance to moral compromise—choosing the slow, biblical path over the fast and artificial one.

🧱 Formation > Information in the AI Era

AI will make knowledge cheap and instant, but spiritual formation will become rare and valuable.

The future doesn’t need more data—it needs more depth.

We are not shaped by what we know, but by what we practice. That means discipleship must shift from information transfer to embodied transformation in the context of real community.

🔌 Healthy Boundaries with Technology Are Critical

Resisting dependence on technology is essential to preserve your humanity.

Can you:

• Put your phone down for a day?

• Spend a week offline without anxiety?

• Unplug to engage with nature or people?

If not, it may be time to reassess your relationship with technology—and reconnect with tangible, embodied life.
